Guests request, the DJ stays in control

Every guest can request a song for the couple from their phone, without queueing at the booth.

A wedding has its own playlist

WeSound is an app and website to request songs from a live DJ and support them with a tip. At a wedding that means something specific: the cousin who wants the song from that school trip, the friends asking for the track that was playing when the couple met, the grandmother who wants a dance to something from her day.

Without a tidy way to ask, all of that ends up at the booth: people leaning in between songs, scraps of paper on the DJ's table and requests that get forgotten. With the DJ's QR code, every guest requests from where they are and the request arrives in writing, with the dedication and the tip.

What doesn't change is who decides. The DJ has planned the night with the couple and knows which moments have their own music. They accept or decline each request with one tap, and the tip is only charged if they accept.

How does it work at a wedding?

  1. The DJ sets up the event

They create an event with the wedding's name, the venue and the date, and set the minimum tip.

  2. Guests see the QR code

The DJ shows it in the booth or shares the link. It opens in the browser, with no app or account.

  3. They request with a dedication

They find the song, write a few words for the couple if they like and pick a tip.

  4. The DJ decides when

They accept what fits the night when they're about to play it, then tap “Played”.

What matters at a wedding

  • Dedications for the couple

Dedications are optional. We check every one before it reaches the booth, and some words aren't allowed.

  • The plan for the night holds

Nothing makes it into the set unless the DJ accepts it. The first dance and the agreed moments stay as they were.

  • No surprises for guests

The tip is held and only charged if the DJ accepts. If they decline, it's released automatically.

  • Nothing to install

Guests request from the browser. Nobody needs an account or an app.

A tip for the couple

If you like the idea, talk it through with your DJ before the wedding: which styles fit, which songs you'd rather not hear and at what point in the night requests open. With that settled, the DJ knows what to accept and guests get a quick answer.

The DJ sets the minimum tip for each event. With WeSound every request comes with a tip, at least the DJ's minimum or €4 if none is set. If you'd rather have requests without tips, agree another approach with the DJ, such as a list sent in advance.

Questions about weddings

Do guests need to download an app?

No. They scan the DJ's QR code with their camera and request in the browser. The app is optional and lets them follow their request and know when it plays.

What if a guest requests something that doesn't suit the wedding?

The DJ declines it with one tap and the held tip is released. Nothing is charged.

Could someone write an offensive dedication?

We check every dedication before it reaches the booth and some words aren't allowed. DJs also agree not to accept offensive requests.

Who gets the tip?

The DJ. WeSound keeps a 15% fee on each accepted tip and the rest goes to the DJ's account.

Look for the DJ's QR code at the wedding

And if you DJ weddings, get the app and make your own.

Coming to your phone very soon

The app is about to land on the App Store and Google Play.

You don't need it to request a song: scan the DJ's QR code and do it right in your browser.
