Reach the DJ even when you're far from the stage

At a festival nobody gets near the booth. With the DJ's QR code, your request does.

At a festival, the booth is out of reach

WeSound is an app and website to request songs from a live DJ and support them with a tip. At a festival the DJ is up on a stage, with a pit and barriers in front, and there is a lot of distance and a lot of people between them and the crowd. Asking in person isn't an option.

With WeSound, the DJ shows their QR code or shares their link, and anyone can open their page on their phone. The request reaches the DJ's app in writing with the song, the dedication and the tip, and they decide whether it fits what they're playing.

The honest truth about festival sets

Many festival sets are tightly planned and leave little room for requests. WeSound doesn't change that: the DJ only accepts what fits, and may accept a few requests or none at all.

That's why the tip is held and only charged if the DJ accepts. If they decline or time runs out, the hold is released and you pay nothing. You can request without risking money on a song that won't play.

How do I request a song at a festival?

  1. Find the QR code or link

The DJ shows it on stage or shares it. Scan the QR code or tap the link.

  2. Search for the song

By title or artist. Add a dedication if you like.

  3. Tip your DJ

Pick a tip and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or card. It's held for now.

  4. Wait for the answer

With the app, you'll be told when the DJ accepts or declines and when it plays.

How the DJ uses it at a festival

  • Share the link

As well as showing the QR code, they can share the link to their page so it reaches people far away.

  • Set the minimum for the set

They create an event for their slot and set the minimum tip, then switch it on when they start playing.

  • Choose calmly

Requests arrive in the app. One tap to accept or decline when there's a moment, before they expire.

  • A tidy queue

There's a limit on active requests per person with the same DJ, and every dedication is checked.

Questions about festivals

Do I need to download anything at the festival?

No. It opens in your phone's browser, with no app or account. The app lets you follow your request and know when it plays.

What if the DJ accepts my song and never plays it?

Tell us in the app that it didn't play, within the time the app shows. We'll look into it and, if you're right, refund you.

How much should I tip at a festival?

You decide, starting from the minimum the DJ sets. There are four levels, from “A little thanks” to “Legend”, and you pay exactly the one you pick.

Request your song from the crowd

Look for the DJ's QR code or link. And if you DJ at festivals, get the app and make your own.
