Request your song from your table

The DJ plays in the corner and the QR code is in sight. No need to get up.

In a bar, the DJ is close but busy

WeSound is an app and website to request songs from a live DJ and support them with a tip. In a bar or on a terrace the DJ is often just a few metres away, but that doesn't make asking easy: they're mixing, people keep walking past and heading over drink in hand isn't always appealing.

With their QR code in the booth or on the bar, every table requests from where it is. The request reaches the DJ's app in writing with the song, the dedication and the tip, and they decide whether it suits the mood of the place at that hour.

What people request in a bar

The mood is calmer than on a dance floor, and the requests show it.

  • More varied requests

There's less pressure to fill a dance floor, so more styles fit. The DJ accepts what suits the hour.

  • Dedications from the table

A birthday, a send-off, a date. Dedications are optional and checked before they reach the booth.

  • Pay in one tap

Apple Pay, Google Pay or card, with no account to create.

How does the DJ set it up?

  1. Create the event

Add the name, the bar and the date. If they play the same place every week, they create an event for each session.

  2. Set the minimum tip

They match it to the venue's mood. The four tip levels are worked out from that minimum.

  3. Keep the QR code in sight

Show it in the booth or share the link. The venue can help by putting it on the bar or the tables.

  4. Switch on and respond

Switch the event on at the start. Accept or decline each request with one tap and tap “Played” on the ones that have played.

For the bar

WeSound has no product of its own for venues and no venue dashboard. What works is simple: encourage the DJs who play at the bar to use WeSound and put their QR code where people can see it.

The tip money belongs to the DJ. WeSound keeps a 15% fee on each accepted tip and the rest goes to the DJ's account. If you'd like to talk about it, write to us at hello@wesound.pro.

Questions about bars and terraces

Am I charged when I request?

No. The tip is held on your card and only charged if the DJ accepts the request. If they decline or time runs out, it's released.

Are there extra fees for requesting?

No. You pay exactly the tip you pick, with no extra fees for guests.

Can I request a song for another table?

Yes. Write the dedication with the person's name. The DJ reads it along with the song.

Look for the QR code on the bar

Or in the booth. And if you DJ in bars, get the app and make your own.

Coming to your phone very soon

The app is about to land on the App Store and Google Play.

You don't need it to request a song: scan the DJ's QR code and do it right in your browser.
