Private and company parties

At your party, every guest requests their song

You book a DJ to get people dancing. With their QR code, guests tell them what they want to hear.

A private house party with a DJ and a group of friends requesting songs on their phones.

A private party belongs to its host

WeSound is an app and website to request songs from a live DJ and support them with a tip. At a private party the crowd is your friends, your family or your team, and each of them has their song. Without a way to ask, the DJ ends up with someone at their elbow all night, or with requests that never reach them.

With their QR code, guests request from their phones, with nothing to install and no account. The request arrives in writing with the song, a dedication if they want one and the tip. The DJ accepts or declines based on what you agreed with them.

Who it's for

  • Birthdays and anniversaries

Dedications go to the guest of honour. They're checked before they reach the booth.

  • Company parties

Team dinners and celebrations where every department wants its song.

  • House parties

A DJ in the living room or the garden and the QR code by the drinks.

How do you set it up?

  1. Talk to your DJ

Tell them you'd like guests to be able to request songs. The DJ needs the WeSound app.

  2. The DJ creates the event

They give it the party's name, the place and the date, and set the minimum tip.

  3. The QR code in sight

The DJ shows it in the booth or shares the link so guests have it.

  4. The party requests

The DJ switches the event on at the start and accepts what fits the night.

If it's a company event

At a company event it's worth agreeing two things with the DJ beforehand: which styles fit and what shouldn't play. The DJ decides what to accept and agrees not to accept offensive requests, and we check every dedication before it reaches the booth, with some words not allowed.

The tip is paid by whoever requests, with Apple Pay, Google Pay or card, and only charged if the DJ accepts. WeSound keeps 15% of each accepted tip and the rest goes to the DJ.

Questions about private parties

Do I have to pay anything as the host?

No. WeSound doesn't charge the host. The DJ signs up for free and each guest pays the tip they choose if they want to request a song.

Do guests need the app?

No. They scan the DJ's QR code and request in the browser. The app is optional and lets them follow their request.

Can the DJ decline songs?

Yes, with one tap. If they decline, the held tip is released and nothing is charged.

Ask your DJ to switch on their QR code

And if you DJ, get the app and make your own.

Coming to your phone very soon

The app is about to land on the App Store and Google Play.

You don't need it to request a song: scan the DJ's QR code and do it right in your browser.
